Practical Information

The instructions below aim to guide attendees how to go to the Becamex Hotel from Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh City) as well as from the hotel to the Conference Venue (Binh Duong New City).

Average distance from Ho Chi Minh City center to Binh Duong
  1. From Tan Son Nhat Airport to hotels:
    Taxi is the most convenient transport for international visitors when they come to Vietnam. At the airport, they will be guided to take taxies to the hotels by taxi counters.     To Becamex Hotel (Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong province):
    The distance from the airport to the hotel is around 30 km. Travelling by taxi takes about 50 minutes with the fare approximately 500,000 VND (25 USD). For more information, please refer to the link below: http://becamexhotel.com.vn/contact-us.htm#wall-1
  2. From hotel to the Conference Venue:
    Organizational Committee of Conference will support buses to pick up attendees from Becamex Hotel to Conference Venue with free of charge. Below information just for attendees who miss the buses or stay at other hotels.

    From Becamex Hotel:
    • The travel distance from the hotel to the Conference Venue is roughly 10 km so it will take about 15 minutes by taxi with the fare around 150,000VND (8 USD).
    • It takes about 15-20 minutes from the hotel to the Conference Venue by shuttle buses of the hotel.
    From other hotels:
    Attendees could choose taxies or buses to go to the Conference Venue. The cost and time for travelling will depend directly on the distance.

It is the sole responsibility of the participant to check and confirm current visa requirements to visit Vietnam and take part in the 13th Global Conference on Sustainable Manufacturing. The Vietnamese Government requires a visa for citizens from most countries. Participants who require an entry visa must allow sufficient time for the application procedure. Please either contact Vietnamese Embassy in your country directly or check their website to determine the appropriate application procedures and timing of their visa applications. You should also check with your country’s embassy on any travel related restrictions or advisories that may be in place.

If you require an official letter of invitation, please contact us at gcsm@vgu.edu.vn or gcsm@mf.tu-berline.de as soon as possible. Please note that we are only able to provide you with an official letter of invitation if:
(a) we have received your conference registration and payment has been confirmed, or
(b) you have received confirmation from us that your paper has been accepted to the conference.

"Please note that on June 18th 2015, Vietnam government made an announcement about unilateral visa exemption for 5 European countries namely United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy and Spain. The policy is set to become effective from July 1st 2015 to June 30th 2016. Accordingly, all citizens of these countries are permitted to enter Vietnam without a visa for 15 days regardless of purpose of visit, kind of passport".
